Nodes are getting a UI. Node Operators will be able to view activity in real-time and see if a node is passing audit checks. Below is a preview of the new interface. We aim to launch the Node UI near the end of the year.

Node Registration

Node registration will open on November 20th at 10:00am PT (18:00 UTC). An additional two hundred nodes will be able to register.

The registration process is simple. Node operators should upgrade to version 1.3.0. Upgrading takes a few seconds. Nodes will automatically attempt to register when upgraded.

IMPORTANT: Version 1.3.0 of the Chainpoint Node software will be released moments before registration opens. All registered nodes must upgrade to be eligible for rewards.

The number of registered nodes will increase throughout the launch phase. During this time, we’ll be making updates to the software, network, and node requirements.

Fast Calendar Sync

The Chainpoint Calendar now has over 600,000 blocks. New nodes must download and verify this data. Testing of version 1.3.0 shows the time required for a full calendar sync has been reduced from over 30 minutes to about 3 minutes.

Chainpoint CLI Improvements

Along with version 1.3.0 of Chainpoint Node, a new version of the Chainpoint CLI will be released next week. Proof verification is over 12x faster when verifying large sets of proofs. The speed of updating proofs from the CLI has also improved.

Testing

Our team is increasing the size and frequency of testing the network. Node operators will see periods of traffic. This is normal.
